Breakfast was good. I am vegan and I was able to find things that I could eat.

I was placed in a room that the balcony opened to stagnant water and the smell of sewage

Hotel was ok, room wasn’t what I expected for the prices I was paying.

The hotel it self is beautiful but the hotel isn’t in Montego Bay it is 40 mins from there if you think your getting a room in Montego Bay.

The taxis are very expensive they over charge for everything. I had to pay a $70 ride to the airport, they wanted $100 to take me downtown to Montego Bay plus when wanting to view it at night time the prices rises to $150.

My experience was phenomenal! When we arrived the staff greeted us with a warm smile & some drinks! It was my partner’s birthday weekend so they gave us a room update to their presidential suite and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was clean & modern. The property was so nice, the staff was very welcoming, the restaurants were top knotch. They really exceeded my expectations. I even got guest services to decorate the room at no extra charge. I will definitely be visiting again!

Poor facilities, food and responsiveness to customer needs.

Poor

The shower was old and didn't function properly. Maintenance took a long time to address the problem with a temporary solution that didn't provide full function of the shower. The mini fridge was not stacked upon receiving the room and took over 3 hours to be corrected after several calls and visiting the front desk. The breakfast was terrible, the omelet was flat and is the worst I have been served at any all inclusive hotels in Jamaica. BATHROOMS NEED TO HAVE SHOWER FAUCETS REPLACED. I spent days at Riu Montego Bay before staying at Royalton and the service, response time to issues, food and facilities were vastly superior at Riu. If I was the owner of this hotel I would addressed these issues in the shortest possible time before the new Riu resort opens next door. I am not likely to recommend this resort to anyone. The premium being charged was not good value for the service, food and the bathroom facilities provided.

Worst time at Royalton

I'm still trying to think, been here 4 times, and I think it's not the same and is worse every time I come back.

No tire tubes in the lazy room, hard bed my arms still hurt, small room and no were to but my stuff. The food was bad, and the staff looked confused and extremely slow to service.. had to wipe the bathroom every time I shower as water leaks through shower due to poor construction of the glass door.. this is not the Royalton I fell in love with. It seems like every time it gets worse ,

We liked the front desk staff and the reception servers and waitresses. The shower was great. The sports bar food was great especially the jerk pork.

Staffing was not the best, some locations were understaffed. There were a lot of mosquitoes at night. There was no Toothpaste in the bathroom. It was our anniversary but there was no special treatment.

It was a pleasant stay, returned feeling rejuvenated and would not hesitate to return.

The service was exceptionally good, the staff are courteous, seems well trained and always willing to help. The compound was well manicured, clean and attractive.

Check in was too long. To check in a guest should not take longer than 15 minutes, unless some serious problems emerge.

Well breakfast was ok needs a little more variety of food. Some of the waitress were really rude they dont acknowlege us as we were jamaican they pay more attention to the international guest . And we feel away as if our money dont count There is one outstanding staff and his name is Kenile very plesant and professonal Thanks to you Kenile you made us feel very wwelcome.

Room issues but pleasant staff

How pleasant most of the staff were and the fact that we had access to the full property including the Blue Waters side.

Lots of issues with our room: 1. mini bar fridge not working (replaced the following day after ee reported it) 2. No where to hang or bath/ face towels. We reported it several times and were told twice there was somewhere on the balcony to hang towels (there wasnt). When I explained that I was referring to bath and face towels we were told to hang in on the shower door handle- 2 bath towels, 2 face towels and 2 face rags were to all hang on top of each other apparently. Seems there is supposed to be a towel rack on bathroom door but there was none and none was put in, inspite of our complaints 3. There was no shelf or ledge or anywhere in the shower to put our bath soap (the missing corner shelf was replaced the day after we reported it 4. The lock for the balcony door didnt work. 5. Unable to reserve Japanese restaurant a day in advance like you can at other properties once you have checked in. 6. Lazy pool required lots of work- no current to propel you around and only a handful of tubes were provided. Not relaxing at all. Unable to get a tube 7. Getting a beach towel was a major treasure hut. The huts seemed to always be out of towels.
